Non-urgent advice: Extended Access & Out of Hours

It is usually best to get medical care from the team who knows you but if urgent, phone 111 or use 111-online . You will be directed to the most appropriate service. More information about 111

Out of hours services are complex – here is some advice to guide you.

Local services include:
Brent Urgent Care Centre ( at Central Middlesex Hospital, 24/7 ) ,
Edgware Walk-in Centre ( Edgware Community Hospital 7am-9pm ),
Northwick Park Urgent Care Centre (24/7).

You can look up all urgent care services on NHS.UK

Don’t forget pharmacies which can offer excellent urgent care advice for minor conditions and are often open late – find an open pharmacy.

GP Access Hubs
If you need an appointment in the evening or on Saturdays we may be able to find you an appointment at one of the Brent GP Access Hubs which are staffed by a local GP or Nurse. It is best to see your usual GP or Nurse for ongoing conditions but these Hubs may be suitable for other quick or one-off problems – ask at reception for availability.

Out of hours pharmacies
Most local pharmacies have some late opening and operate a Bank Holiday rota. The local supermarket pharmacies are usually open late, typically until 8-11pm (AsdaSainsbury’sMorrisons) and Peace Pharmacy in Wembley is open until 10pm every day and Warman-Freed in Golders Green until midnight every day. Try: find an open pharmacy.
