Practice Nurse 30 to 37.5 hours per week (permanent position)

Salary Scale £36,211.50 – £46,410.00 per annum pro rata

(depending on experience and qualification) Working 5 days Mon – Fri covering early and late shifts

We are seeking an additional Practice Nurse to join our existing team. A great chance to up-skill.

We are a forward thinking training practice in a diverse area, which is open, green and close to London. We look after 15,000 patients and offer a full range of primary care services, based in a beautiful new surgery. Our dynamic team compromises of one trainee nurse and two HCA (currently recruiting another). We have room for another Practice Nurse, whether experienced or moving from another sector (in which case training would be arranged).

You will provide the full range of nursing tasks (subject to training) in what is always a varied and interesting job. You will be flexible and willing to adapt in the fast moving health service. You will be a conscious learner, keen to learn new skills. You will be a good team player, supportive of your colleagues (who will be supportive of you). You will have good IT skills. You will be proud to contribute high quality work to the practice for our patients.

Assistant Practice Manager FT 37.5 hours salary, range £35-40k + NHS pension

We are a forward thinking training practice in a diverse area, which is open, green and close to London. We look after 15,500 patients and offer a full range of primary care services, based in a beautiful purpose built health care centre.

This job is an exciting position working at the interface of our NHS General Practice with its patients, helping to improve the patient care experience and the efficient running of the surgery.

You will be part of the management team, working with the Practice Manager, Reception Manager and Managing GP Partner to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

You will play a key role in developing and leading the Reception team while refining and enhancing our systems as needed. Your responsibilities will span all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, induction, appraisals, performance management, training, and upskilling. You will ensure smooth running of the practice by providing cover in reception when needed. Additionally, you will gain proficiency in key operational tools such as the clinical system (EMIS Web), the online consultation platform (Patchs), and the cloud-based telephone system (Surgery Connect), among others—all aimed at streamlining the patient journey and optimizing practice efficiency.

You will be also be expected to support the Practice Manager while also working independently, taking on key responsibilities such as:

  • Assisting with and overseeing CQC compliance
  • Managing and handling complaints
  • Attending PCN meetings
  • You will organise and attend Patient Group Meetings
  • Scheduling and coordinating reception and nursing team meetings
  • Organizing and overseeing non-clinical inductions for medical students and trainees, as well as monitoring their sick leave
  • Supervising the patient registration process
  • Providing reception cover during staff absences
  • Coordinating locum bookings when required
  • Coordinating the team rota for the Enhanced Access that the Practice provides
  • Collaborating with the Practice Manager to achieve KPIs and deliver Enhanced Services

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
